Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at Radharaman Engineering College (REC), Bhopal offers Graduation and Post graduation in Electrical Engineering. The Department is committed to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic student development. Established as a core branch of engineering, the Electrical Engineering program aims to produce industry-ready professionals equipped with the technical skills and ethical values essential to meet the challenges of the modern power and electronics sectors. The department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering was established during the inception of the institute in 2006. Since its commencement, the primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education, training, and research at the undergraduate level in various areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Our curriculum is designed in alignment with the latest trends in electrical power systems, control systems, power electronics, renewable energy, instrumentation, and embedded technologies. The program emphasizes a strong theoretical foundation, hands-on laboratory experience, and exposure to real-time projects.

Laboratory
-
A Power System Lab is a specialized facility for studying, testing, and simulating electrical power generation, transmission, distribution, and protection systems. These labs feature hardware like transformers, relays, transmission line models, and converters, alongside simulation software (e.g., MATLAB) to analyze power flow, stability, faults, and high-voltage phenomena.
-
A Control System Lab provides practical, hands-on experience in modeling, analyzing, and designing automated systems, bridging theoretical concepts with real-world applications. These labs typically use hardware kits (e.g., motor speed/position control) and software like MATLAB/SIMULINK for simulation, covering feedback control, stability analysis, and controller design.
-
An Electrical Measurement & Instrumentation lab provides hands-on experience in measuring, testing, and calibrating electrical parameters like voltage, current, power, and resistance. Equipped with devices like CROs, bridges (Wheatstone, Kelvin), and transducers, it enables students to validate theoretical principles, conduct error analysis, and master industrial instrumentation.
-
A Network Analysis Lab focuses on the practical application of circuit theory, where students analyze, simulate, and verify the behavior of electrical networks.Key activities include validating theorems (Thevenin’s, Norton’s, Superposition), analyzing AC/DC circuits, and examining transient/frequency responses using hardware kits and simulation software like MATLAB or PSpice.
-
An Electrical Machine Lab is a specialized facility in electrical engineering departments designed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical experience through hands-on operation and testing of electrical equipment. It features AC and DC motors, generators, and transformers to analyze performance, characteristics, and control methods, essential for industrial applications.
